Imagine that you are working in a laboratory as a doctor and during 10 years you had been searching the cure for AIDS with your boss, this investigation is the most important aspect inside of the life's project of your boss and you have a huge problem because right now your wife is dying thanks of AIDS and during all this time working in the laboratory you and your boss found a treatment who can kill the sickness but right now is imposible to use the treatment because the investigation have a protocol and if you break it you can go to the jail and moreover you can destroy all the investigation infront of the scientific and medical comunity.
Some times you are alone at the laboratory and you have the oportunity to get the cure and use it with your wife but knowing that you will destroy the investigation and you have a high posibility to go to the Jail.
What do you chose?
If there is not more time for my wife to survive, I would take the cure and help she to survive. But if my wife could wait until the protocolo ends I would wait, because there is many lifes I could save with the investigation.

ReplyDeleteAs Laura said, if my wife can wait until the investigation end up i would wait, but if can´t wait i would do all the posible for the life of my wife, even use the cure and destroy the investigation

I agree with Laura, if she has the possibility to wait for us to finish the investigation and the testing then I would try to do everything in my power to try and finish faster, but if she can’t then I think the most logical choice to make is to take the cure and save her.
ReplyDeleteI would propose to my boss to test the cure on my wife so that I can have a test subject for the treatment and see how the cure works while my wife is healing being part of the investigation.
ReplyDeleteI am the kind of person who thinks that the common good should prevail above all, and if I would have to damage all the investigation to save my husband, I would not do it by taking the opportunity away from many mother people, not so much because I go to the jail or not.
ReplyDeletei would take it, i prefer go to the jail that let the life of my wife run a way of my hands. i wouldn´t forgive me if my wife die.
ReplyDeleteAs many mentioned, if the disease is not yet very advanced and the investigation is about to end, I think I would wait a prudent time, however, if it is the only solution I would do it because I would prefer to be in jail but at least knowing that my wife had the chance to live thanks to me.
